Sara Hernández + David Tobón

Sara Hernández and David Tobón are originally from Medellín and have lived in Brussels for several years. They carried out their artistic studies at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart and at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels. Their concerns about the perception of reality and the questioning of the identity of objects, have led them to collaborate in various projects, such as in the series Instructions to find an Alicangaro, exhibited at the Brussels Generation Show, a central part of the Brussels Gallery Weekend, and at Galerie Felix Frachon among others. This collaboration was part of the selection of works that has just received the Bourse Horlait-Dapsens award, an award that favours proposals that highlight the interdependence between theoretical work and artistic practice.
